Concierge Veterinary Services
BETSY KEMBLE, DVM
Dr. Betsy Kemble and Practice Manager/Veterinary Technician, Danielle Marsalis, have been practicing Veterinary Medicine in San Antonio for nearly a decade. In that time we have seen firsthand how stressful a traditional veterinary visit can be for both the pets as well as the owners. This is what led to the idea of a mobile Concierge Veterinary Service, and thus Patient Paws Mobile Vet was born. Our focus is on trying to reduce the stress that is associated with traditional veterinary visits, while still practicing the highest quality medicine.
Along with wellness visits, internal medicine, dental cleanings and minor surgical cases, we will be offering unique pain-relieving services such as K-Laser Therapy Laser treatments and massage. We are able to examine and treat your pets in the comfort of your home or place of business, or we can do so inside of our mobile clinic-converted Mercedes Sprinter Van if that is your preference. Although we are not an emergency or after-hours service, we do offer some transport and overnight medical services which can be evaluated on a case-by-case basis.
Annual examinations, vaccinations and routine lab work are all important aspects of your pets overall health. Every pet that is vaccinated will receive a complete physical exam. There will be no exceptions to this. Depending on the age or overall health of your pet, specific laboratory testing may be recommended. Dr. Kemble and Danielle are happy to discuss all of this in detail with you during your appointment.
Dr. Kemble is experienced in managing chronic medicine cases, including immune-mediated diseases, kidney disease, liver disease, heart disease, diabetes and other endocrine disease. She is happy to review your pet's case prior to the visit and help formulate a long-term management plan for your pet. She also works closely with the Veterinary Specialists in the area when necessary or desired.
We offer full laboratory work through our reference laboratory, including bloodwork, urinalysis, cultures and histopathology. We also have an on-board microscope, and a mobile ultrasound unit that can be used for minor ultrasound procedures. For X-Rays and more in-depth ultrasound and higher imaging we can facilitate this with a referral clinic as needed.
Dental cleanings and extractions
Our Mercedes Sprinter Van is fully equipped with anesthesia and full dental equipment, including dental radiography. We can perform routine dental cleanings, as well as dental extractions and minor oral surgery.
transport & overnight treatments
We offer transport to specialty hospitals or other referral hospitals in the area. These services are limited by time and will be considered on a case-by-case basis. Overnight treatments are at the discretion of the doctor.
minor surgical procedures
We are equipped to perform minor surgical procedures, including, but not limited to, growth removals, laceration repair and other wound management. The performance of other surgical procedures will be decided on a case-by-case basis.
Office & apartment days
Does your office allow pets? Have us come by to treat everyone's pets and there will only be a single mobile fee that can be split up, or management can cover it as an office "perk". We can also coordinate within apartment/condo buildings and complexes to serve multiple clients in the same day. This will result in a discounted housecall fee (if you want us to come in to your home), or no housecall fee if you bring your pet out to our van for their exam and treatments. Please call us for more details.
K-Laser Therapy Laser & Massage
As part of our commitment to pain control and a low-stress lifestyle for your pet we offer pet massage treatments as well as K-Laser Therapy in the comfort of your pet's own environment. Laser Therapy has been scientifically proven to help speed healing and decrease pain in humans as well as animals. Please see the link below for more information on laser therapy.
We can give your pet a peaceful and gentle goodbye in the comfort of their own home. Deciding on euthanasia is difficult, but we will walk you through the process and guide you every step of the way. We take great care in tailoring every final visit to the specific needs of your pet, and can utilize sedation if needed to help your pet have a tranquil passing. We can also handle all of the aftercare. For cremation services we use Paws In Heaven. You can find more information about their services by clicking the link below.
